In 2009, the USAID launched USAID deliver the project to provide technical assistance to the health sector of Pakistan to strengthen the supply chain system. The project worked closely with the Ministry of National Health, Services, Regulations and Coordination (MONHSRC) on the central level, and with the DOH, the PWD and PPHI on the provincial and regional levels. Among multiple initiatives, several systems strengthening efforts were carried out to support the meaningful contraceptive availability of the project. After completion of the project in early 2016, the project hired services of APEX to carry out a contraceptive stock assessment survey. The overall purpose of this research was to conduct an assessment to determine stock levels of contraceptive commodities at service delivery points and district stores in order to estimate the last mile contraceptive availability and determine the efficiency of the supply and distribution system. A secondary purpose was to validate the accuracy of the CLMIS data reported by the GOP.
